Thursday Prayer Focus: Fast and Pray

Because prayer is the strategy of Pioneer Bible Translators, our worldwide team intentionally sets aside a day of fasting and prayer every month. On this day, we join in unified prayer, offering up to our Father praises and requests collected especially for this day. Please join this concert of prayer today by praying with us for our teammates and the people among whom they serve.

  • Thank you, God, for the 13 projects you have given our Deaf Group and for all the new doors you are opening for sign language Bible translation.
  • God, please provide clarity and accuracy for our translation teams as they work to express Scripture naturally in each local sign language.
  • God, please lead us to the right places and provide the right people so we can strategically fill the gaps that you want us to fill in discipling Bibleless people in the Middle East.
  • Father, please raise up the right local people in the Middle East to translate your Word into two languages.
  • Thank you, God, for continuing to grow our ministries among communities of immigrants and refugees in the U.S.
  • Lord, please protect and strengthen the refugees and immigrants we serve, particularly those whose trauma is still impacting their daily lives and mental well-being.
  • Lord, please open the doors to begin a Bible translation project in the Atlanta-area immigrant community.
  • Thank you, Lord, for the growing collaboration that our teammates serving immigrant communities are experiencing in Milan, Italy. Please help them find the right local partners as they prayerfully seek to expand into other cities in Europe.
  • Lord, please raise up more missionaries from within the European Union who will serve faithfully alongside us in the work of Bible translation and disciple making.
  • Thank you, Father, for granting success to many of the Scripture impact activities — Bible studies, pastor trainings, and trauma care initiatives — that our field teams are carrying out around the world.
  • Lord, you bring light to those who dwell in darkness. Please work in powerful and new ways in the communities where we serve, especially where your church is not yet thriving so that your light would break through and many people would come to life in you.
