Brad Willits, PhD
Brad Willits serves as Pioneer Bible Translators’ Language Programs Advisor. He regularly holds on-site workshops for national and expat translators and also serves as a Bible translation consultant. Brad formerly served as Field Ministries Officer from 2015-2024; prior to that he served for 27 years in West Africa as a Bible translator, literacy evangelist, and team director and, before that, for 16 years as a church planter in Italy. Brad holds a Ph.D. in Bible translation from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and has taught linguistics at the university level. He and his wife Estel have four adult children.
