Bible Translation Internship (Dallas, TX)
Not all translation work happens in the far corners of the world. Through technology and diaspora communities, the Lord has given us opportunities to continue the work of Bible translation from our own backyards. During the summer, interns will have an opportunity to work on key projects to help our teams move translation projects and linguistic research forward from Dallas, Texas. Interns may help with exegetical checking, dictionary creation, digital Scripture engagement and reviewing linguistic data for several language projects in West Africa. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to engage with refugee communities to do language documentation for Human Language Technology applications, teach ESL and develop literacy and health education curriculum. Interns will gain experience with translation software, working as a team, and engaging with people of other cultures.
